How Emma beats it
A brute is too strong to trade hits with on the ground, so she gets above it or traps it.
- She counts one brute as a whole pack and builds a 3-high pillar to fight from, measured from the highest ground next to her.
- With a boat she drops it on the brute's path. A mob that walks into a boat gets in and can't get out, and she hits it from just out of its reach.
- Her paths avoid a brute's line of sight within 16 blocks. In a bastion she skips gold within 13 blocks of a brute, and mines gold from inside a sealed pocket so the piglins don't see her.
- She never blocks an axe with a shield: an axe disables it.
Lab result: One brute, two brutes, and brutes with crossbows: no deaths. A group of six in a bastion: 10 of 10. A lone brute on flat ground beat her twice; from a pillar she won 2 of 2 without a scratch.
