Emma's Stronghold Finder: desktop app
Throw an eye of ender, press F3+C, and a small window beside Minecraft shows where to throw next and where the stronghold is. It reads only the F3+C text you copy, nothing else from the game.
How to use it
1. Start it
Unzip it and double-click StrongholdFinder.bat. It needs Java 17 or newer and finds the one Minecraft already installed. Close the window to quit.
2. Throw and press F3+C
Throw an eye, look at it while it hovers, press F3+C. If the window shows feet → x z, walk there (follow the arrow), throw again and press F3+C.
3. Dig down
When no feet row is left, the pin x z row is the stronghold. The % is the chance it's in that chunk or one next to it. A Nether F3+C shows the way in Nether coordinates.
Settings
Throws (default 3)
How many throws to plan for. More throws, less walking. 2 is for Nether travel: a long side trip on foot, short in the Nether.
Aim
How far off the eye your crosshair really is: Careful, Normal (default), Relaxed or Loose. Seeing an orange ! often? Pick a looser one.
Overlay
No title bar and a see-through background, so it sits over Minecraft in windowed or borderless mode. Language follows your system, or pick English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Português, 日本語 or symbols.
Speedruns and the mod
The desktop app isn't speedrun.com-legal until the Minecraft speedrun moderators add it to their tool list. Want it inside the game instead? The Fabric mod finds the stronghold from one throw, no keypress: Emma's Stronghold Finder on CurseForge. Found a bug? Report it on GitHub.
